The basic idea behind this element is for it to act as a large-scale, responsive weather-shade over an outdoor auditorium. I drew inspiration from the ancient Roman velarium. More info can be found here. The final element will more closely resemble the velarium, but for now this is just a proof of concept.
I was unable to get this model working smoothly in Lumion - the move tool would only move one segment at a time - but will have a workaround soon. The final velarium should, in theory, work better in Lumion.
FYI... next week you will be standing up and presenting your draft design to two architects using your blog as the presentation medium... just saying...
